Let it shine

 Cyrus DeBarge  is a pastor's son, and his best friend Kris McDuffy, who loves to dance. Cyrus is a shy busboy and who writes rap music under the name "Truth,". There is the contest that Roxie, who is the famous teenager singer  wants to find some one that can create the rap part that rhyme with the song called "Don't Run Away". Kris and Cyrus, both send their rap for Roxie and somehow she ends up mistaking Cyrus for Kris, because Cyrus has send the picture that he takes with Kris. He knows that Kris wants to be with Roxie, so Cyrus wants to help Kris not only takes credit for the lyrics but he begins to win Roxie's heart too. Cyrus's dad really hates rap, he thinks that rap is the Devil's music, he doesn't like when Cyrus started to make all the song in the church become rap songs. Cyrus get rounded for two weeks, because he saw Cyrus goes outside at night to come to the club with Kris. Cyrus and Roxie get to know each other and Roxie says she can talk to him better than she can talk to Kris. Somehow Cyrus' father comes to accept and support him after reading his lyrics and he reveals he is "Truth" through a song called "Me and You ." However, after learning Cyrus is "Truth", Roxie is so angry she was played, that she slaps Cyrus and she tells him and Kris to stay out of her life. Then Cyrus has a rap battle with rapper Lord of Da Bling. Cyrus wins after telling the whole audience the fact that Bling is not rich, but a normal person. Kris tells Roxie that Cyrus is a great person and only pretended he wasn't "Truth" for Kris, and they don't try to hurt Roxie. He also says Cyrus is real and that's who she needs to be with. Roxie then goes to church and hugs Cyrus and they become a couple. They sing "Let it Shine". The end
